What can the Rising Generation learn from John Starks?
February 11th, 2021
John Starks is a New York Knicks legend. He is 6′ 3″, played about eight seasons with the Knicks, and was known for his tenacity and grit.
It was during a 1993 playoff game against the Chicago Bulls (and yes, Michael Jordan) that John dribbled the ball the length of the court and with fifty seconds left on the clock, turned on his jets and dunked over Horace Grant (6’10’) and Michael Jordan (6’6′).
Madison Square Garden erupted with cheers and the dunk is famous until today.
What the rising generation can learn from John Starks is that no matter what the obstacles are in front of you (even when they are “giants” like Michael Jordan or the Shadow of the prior generation), tenacity and grit will help you live out your purpose and achieve your goals.
